We all have bad days, they’re inevitable! It’s when our doubts kick in and our inner critic comes out. But, what can we do to make our bad days easier to survive? Well, maybe just remind ourselves to be a little present. No matter how challenging a day can be, here are some reminders you can save for later:

Everyone has ups and downs.

Some days are hard, and that’s okay. We could be experiencing negative emotions. We could be distracted. We could have a lot racing through our minds. All that can affect how we perform today, so don’t be so hard on yourself. Your productivity can fluctuate, but your worth doesn’t.

You always deserve to rest.

Regardless of how productive you were today, you deserve a break. Rest is how we recharge our energy to be able to engage socially, enjoy the things we love and continue work the next day. Having a slow day doesn’t mean you have to punish yourself by overworking. Remember: work and rest were always meant to co-exist.

Any and all progress is valuable progress.

Whether you took one step today or ten, it’s worth celebrating. Don’t let the progress of others or your past achievements trick you into thinking small steps don’t count; you’re allowed to be a beginner. The only consistency we need to thrive for is to show up, no matter what that may look like. Strive for growth and progress, not perfection.
