We wanted to share 3 of our favourite meditation podcasts that help keep us grounded and aligned. We also think these shows would work for beginners because it’s a great way to start experimenting and plus, it’s free!
The Daily Shine
If you’ve ever tried meditation or at least learned about it, you’ve probably heard of the Shine app. Shine is a meditation app that was featured as best of 2020 on the apple store, so you know it’s got some gems on there. If you’re not interested in using apps for meditation or don’t want to pay a subscription fee, then today’s your lucky day.
The Daily Shine is a meditation podcast created by the Shine app that’s available on multiple streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Its episodes average around 10 minutes long, so it’s quick and effective. Their meditations cover topics like: stress, creativity, self-love and motivation. And the best part: It’s a daily show! This is great because if today’s episode doesn’t resonate with you, there is always tomorrow and the day after, and the day after that! You can also sustainably incorporate it into your routine to compliment your flow.
The Daily Meditation Podcast
Another great daily meditation podcast that we recommend would be The Daily Meditation Podcast. This podcast focuses more on self-care and self-enrichment and the topics include: Managing conflict, Finding purpose living authentically.
Mary Meckley, the host of this podcast, also has a meditation app called Sip and Om. If you’re already familiar with Mary meditation sessions from the app, that’s a great bonus! This podcast has a weekly theme that’s usually based on an emotion, so it’s best for going deeper within the same topic. The episodes also average around 10 mins, so you easily listen to episodes back to back if you miss a day!
Guided Meditations
Our last recommendation is for newbies. Guided Meditations is a fortnightly podcast hosted by The Yoga Bunny, or Bunok, who’s on a mission to make meditation easy and accessible for everyone.
This podcast is best for those who are new to meditation. The episodes range from as short as 5 minutes all the way to 20 minutes and since there is no specific theme, you can pick an episode that best suits your schedule and mood. The diversity of the episodes also makes it good for beginners to experiment.
